Stromboli is absolutely superb, with the best freshly made Red Sauce ever. Cannoli is to die for. Service with a keep you happy attitude. Definitely recommended.

Best spaghetti I had in a long time from a restaurant and big portions of it too. A lil on the pricey side though.

Love their pizza! Staff and owner are super friendly and make it a point to remember you. You have to try the meatball pizza. Meatballs are amazing! Some of the best pizza I've had around here for sure.

Expensive, not worth the price. But haven't been there in about four years. We used to eat there a couple times a week until we had a problem with hair in my wife's food. He was very defensive and we haven't been there since.

My family and I have had several experiences at this restaurant so this rating is not based on a one time occurrence. We kept giving it another shot because my son like the greasiness of the pizza. But after tonight's episode we are all out of second chances. Made a simple order at 6 o'clock and was told it would be there in 45 minutes to 1 hour, at 7:45 still no delivery. My advice would be to order the food before you know you need it and maybe it will get there when you do. I usually do not leave reviews but their four star average is wholly undeserved.

Cute little restaurant. .. sending for about 60 ppl Very friendly staff ... good food ! Hubby ordered a sausage and pepper hot sandwich I ordered the steak and cheese with the works Hubby loved his ... gave it a 5 out of 5 ... right amount of sauce and meat. Large bun which was toasted to perfection. He kept saying that it was yummy! Mine was also very good ... lots of meat and veggies, toasted but not too hard... The only little prob that I had was that I asked for mustard but they didn't have any. Sandwiches were so big that we could only eat half so we brought the other half home ... we are going the switch A must try !!

GiGi's is small, but pleasant. It has a pretty standard strip mall pizza place feel and is clean and inviting. The menu is simple, with an assortment of pizza pies, stuffed pizza, hot and cold sandwiches, and pastas. I had the meatball parm sub, which was plain, but tasty enough. My companion ordered the small calzone, which ended up being an enormous beast, longer than my forearm and hand combined and a good five inches wide and four inches thick. For a mere $8, you could feed an entire family. Plus, it was delicious. The service was friendly and the owner (a "true" New Yorker) provided amusing commentary to various people from the back. It is definitely worth a visit.

The large Stromboli is huge. The Stromboli was the best I have had down here in 13 years. We will return to try out the rest of the menu.

This place is great. We eat here quite a bit. I have enjoyed everything we've ever ordered. Expect INSANE portions. Huge sandwiches. The owner, Carmine, is a super nice guy. He cooks everything himself from scratch, so don't go here if you are in a hurry as you may have to wait a bit depending on how busy they are. But it's worth it every time.

Love love love this place. Carmine is simply the best. While you are in there observe how he seems to know everyone when they come in--regulars because this place is awesome. I'm a full Italian originally from NY, I know good pizza and I know good Italian food, and Gigi's has both along with great staff and owner. Carmine used to have a restaurant called Carmanuches in Westchase we would ride out to from Wesley Chapel, but the location was no good so it closed. We seriously were heartbroken. I actually would call the restaurant to see if there was a new number or something to direct me to a new location for a year or so. No such luck. One night I decided to look deeper and see if I could find out what happened and boom I found out the new restaurant was Gigi's!! So happy we drove out to NPR and of course we were not disappointed. I get different stuff and the servings are always HUGE my fav is the eggplant rollatini and my husband loves the tortellini, he says nobody makes it like Carmine. Pizza is super good, Stromboli is good it's ALL good. Disregard the negative reviews on here and give them a try you will not be disappointed!

This place is a ripoff. I ordered some sandwiches for delivery one night. I didn't pay too much attention to the charges, I just gave them my Visa number. I checked it later and according to their menu online it should have been $30.99 with tax and delivery charge. I was charged $40.74. Beware.

One word sums up this owner-operator's pizza: CLUELESS. Oh, Great Caesar's Ghost!-- another lousy pizza joint ripoff!!!! We had a bad pizza there once, but the owner seemed like a nice guy, so we tried it again. He does a great talk about being an authentic New York pizzaria, but his pizza is just a bad imitation of a cheap franchise-store pizza from anywhere. Good New York pizza should have a thin, even crust, flavorful sauce with basil, oregano and garlic, and plentiful full-fat cheese that heavily features stringy mozzarella and olive oil. Any added ingredients should be generous. This guy's way overpriced mess is skimpy, and tastes just like a slice of garbage. The crust dough is not fresh, is bready and has too many air bubbles. The area of crust around the edge is dry, inedible and way too wide. The sauce is just awful, loaded with salt, obviously to stretch it's meager presence on the pie. The cheese is skimpy, and of the salty generic hard-plastic quality of the worst restaurant supply vendors. We ordered almost ten dollars extra in toppings, yet could barely find a trace of them. For over $20, this was a stick-up. We each tried to choke through a slice when we got it home, but we had to throw almost all of it in the trash. This smelly dry salty thing could not even be rehabilitated with added sauce and cheese, you'd be better off putting Ragu and cheese on an English muffin. It's so sad to see a business do this, to emulate the horrible flavored-bread rubbish of the cheap franchise joints, rather than to provide a good value product to a community that really has no good pizzarias around. Save your money, and make your own.

My girlfriend and I go in here on occassion because their Veal Parmasean is fantastic! The portion of meat that they provide is exceptional and delicious. The wait staff is friendly and curteous. Great specials. I could go on and on but I think it would be better if you to try it for yourself.

Great food, Carmine is the best, gives you a lot of food for your money. My favorite is the pizza and the chicken Parmesan dinner. Karen and April are great waitress. We go there or do take out once a week.

Awesome pizza. Had been there a few times for lunch and decided to pick up a whole pie and some wings. Their pizza is the best I've had. The staff is always very friendly as well.

New Port Richeys hidden PIZZA spot! I am from CT and its been my quest for the last 12+ years to find authentic NY style pizza. I AM PROUD TO ANNOUNCE this is the closest to NY style you will find in the entire Tampa Bay area not just Pasco county. I met the owner he is the cook-chef! He is a true New Yorker but he makes sure you have an excellent meal. Also try the fresh mozzarella appetizer (you can feed 4 people from it) Bottom line is, EXCELLENT FOOD, GREAT SERVICE and GREAT PRICES! Keep up the good work!

If you want out of this world authentic Italian food, you need to visit Gigi ' s in New Port Richey. We happened upon this restaurant a few months ago traveling home from an outing. We were not familiar with the area and went to Yelp for suggestions. This place had great reviews so we decided to try it. We were not disappointed. The pizza is outstanding...perfect crust along with mouth watering sauce and perfect blends of seasonings and other ingredients. The house salad was incredibly fresh. We had the house dressing, which was so amazing. We also had an order of the garlic knots. We couldn't stop eating until everything was gone. We live quite a distance from this place so we ordered the lasagne to go. Wow!!!! Outstanding!!! This place is about 120 miles round trip but we've been back several times because we just haven't found anything that compares.

Didn't get anything special but went home with two large pepperoni pizzas. The pizzas were very large and cheese was thick and yummy! Had that fresh, not fake taste and the bread was very tasty as well and not rubbery like many places tend to turn out. Service was great too!

Being New Yorkers we weren't expecting much and were VERY pleasantly surprised!! The pizza was very good and the wings were great! Definitely will be eating here again!

If you want homemade Italian food, this is the place to go! The owner is from Brooklyn and is the chef 7 days a week! I promise you that you will not find a better place to eat Italian food for such a reasonable price! The owner is super friendly and makes you feel like you're in New York when eating at GiGi's.

Very good! The owner is always there, he's the chef too, and is a true New Yorker. The meals are fresh and large! We got tomatoes with mozzarella with oregano and garlic (so delicious) and then split a small calzone. Keep in mind I went with my 6'4 220lb boyfriend and we both left stuffed, the small was HUGE!!! So cheap for such a big amount of food. I will definitely be back. Loved it.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
